Bishop Janes Tabernacle
The Tabernacle is the oldest building of continuous worship in Ocean Grove. The first "tabernacle" was a tent on Ocean Pathway. In 1875, Dr. Ellwood H. Stokes recommended construction of this frame building. On the evening of Saturday, July 14, 1877 it was formally opened and dedicated to the worship of God and the memory of Bishop Edmond Janes.
